Ingestion
Information about ingesting timeseries events
When new events are being created for timeseries via the API, we call this ingestion.
byNeuron has a dedicated service to handle ingestion of events, because it needs to be capable of handling large and frequent loads of data.
Without any special configuration an event just contains a timestamp and a value and is stored as such.
But it is possible to manipulate events at ingestion time, we can use the following post-processing features which is explained in separate chapters:
